Didn’t have much time for shopping on my recent trip to Hawaii. At the last day I stop by the newly opened "Kona Mountain Coffee Shop” at the hotel complex and picked up some coffee beans as gift.
To tell the truth my hope was not high – most likely another overprice tourist trap. But to my surprise their coffee is actually very good.
If you consider yourself a coffee lover and have never tried anything from the Kona Mountain family, you owe it to yourself to try and track it down. For my taste the dark roast is the best pick. It is strong enough that it has a rich flavor to it. The smell while it is brewing is simply intoxicating and it is something that will definitely put a smile on your face first thing in the morning.
You can find Kona Mountain at selected retail stores or you can shop at their website, www.konamountaincoffee.com. The price is actually not too bad, it was only a little bit more than what I would pay at the grocery store for some of the so call “Hawaii Coffee”.
